What is Pilonidal Sinus?
It is an infected tract under the skin, usually between the buttocks, in the natal cleft,containing a tuft of hair and which spontaneously drains through the openings.

Risk factor
- Obesity (deep gluteal fold)
- Family history
- Prolong sitting(mechanical strain)
- Grater amount of hair
- Excessive sweating
- Wearing tight jeans (local irritation)
- Age15-30 years (sex hormone induce glandular change in the hair follicles) (M:F-3:1)
Sign and symptom
- Discharge of pus
- History of recurrent abscesses
- Can be asymptomatic
